Business has so many definitions and meanings to different people, but the most popular one, as you can attest, sounds something like this: ‘It is an arrangement, or an initiative, whose ultimate aim is that after investing a unit of resource, more than one unit of resource is expected to be reaped at least. Very basic, isn’t it? I guess this makes everyone a business man in some way. All the methods, processes and schemes brought up by a business person, eventually has one end point in mind- to make profit, and the definition of profit here is large, not necessarily monetary as we all tend to think. So, having gotten that point cleared, how then did we come up with the idea of God being a business man? Is it really true? If it is, how does it come about and what can we learn from it?

Have you ever seen a play before? You know, a play where there is a stage and there are curtains which can be opened and closed in between scenes, or when the stage needs to be decorated for a particular scene. Probably you’ve seen one on screen. I once saw a picture of a play and as the curtains were being drawn to a close, I got an idea. I started doing my favourite hobby- asking questions. I started asking questions. The performances we witness on the stage is simply a culmination of tens, if not hundreds of practice hours and sessions for the actors and actresses, which of course, we do not see, right? What really then happens behind the stage? A play isn’t made successful when it’s made available for you to see. That isn’t when the success comes. The success comes as a result of the hundreds of hours that have been put in training, practice and rehearsals. So, let’s talk about this…

  Really? How could anyone say something like that? I mean, if you think about it, the above statement is blatantly counter-intuitive and finding those exact combination words on the lips of an individual can make you start thinking that something is probably not too right with such a person’s faculties. However, through the course of this piece, you’ll realize that you should probably be making the above guy one of your best friends and that you should even start thinking in the direction of loving and appreciation the presence of problems.
